After one helluva rough ride and some belly-scrapes, my final exams for this quarter are finally over. Even walked on over into the library (for this first time this quarter) to laugh at all the people still studying for exams.
Looking forward to mating season.. er.. i mean Spring Quarter starting on the 6th.
I don't know why everyone does not know about THIS GUY. He has to have the funniest stuff i've ever read on the 'net. Damn right it's the best page in the universe. Out of respect for this site i have decided to increase the font size of my posts (after several attempts to put in daring different and sometimes geeky templates, i have decided to fall back on my original.. will resume testing whenever i get the urge to jump into HTML and CSS again). This site's pretty old but a lot of people i know don't know about it, so be sure to check it out.
Also, it's funny when you pass by a random pillar in LUMS which has "What you say?!" written on it with a black marker. For all you idiots who didn't get the AYB reference, go shoot yourselves. Don't forget; in your will, leave me your graphics cards and RAM, plskthx.
Another site everyone should definitely check out is Why's Poignant Guide to Ruby. This book has to be by far the best book i have ever read on the net. The fact that it's trying to teach you a programming language is completely irrelevant. A lot of SS-major-types should find it quite amusing to read. Also note that knowing Ruby would make you demi-Gods in the CS-major community since Ruby is the New Thing (tm) after PERL, especially with all the hubbub surrounding Ruby on Rails and it's super-rapid-application-development concept. Not that the general CS community at LUMS appreciates PERL, but what the hell, if you're an SS-major i'm sure you'll want to be better than lowly CS-majors in every way possible (including technical skills, and don't you deny it).
Someone was asking for suggestions for a story when it occured to me that i wasn't all too confident when i told myself i could write one if i wanted. For some reason everytime i try to thinkup of a story it has something to do with Wheel of Time (Robert Jordan's fantasy series...which incidently has stolen a lot of ideas & names from British legends).
Coherent thoughts. Oh yes. You need those too for writing a proper story. I wonder how well i'll do in creative writing class.
Damn all SS courses.
(and Physics, too)
*rattles fist*
Random song of the day: John Williams - Jurassic Park Theme
(awesome for studying Linear Algebra if anyone's interested, but if i get a bad grade in my final i take it back.. YMMV)

you and coherent thoughts go together just as well as donald trump and martha stewart
PERL?!
you'll have to wait another 10 or 20 odd batches before anyone in LUMS decides there are things outside their little black-box worlds of Visual Basic too bro heheheh I remember a Lahori Day Scholar CS-Major female saying something quite profound in CS192 class back in Freshman year: "Sirrr... agar opRator CPlasPlas mein NULL ho jaye toa iss ko HTML mein kaar leen??"
..Perl eh? hahaha all Non-Karachiite CS-Majors with the exception of Yahya Cheema, Asad Rehman, Muattaz, myself and Tayyab Javed should be shot! :P
