Subterfuge

It seems that lately Lahore really wants to be more like it's elder (step-) brother Karachi. It's been raining continuously for the past two days and Worldcall has decided to not bother trying to repair their Cable & Internet that has stopped working. To give credit where it's due, the electricity hasn't gone even once, and the roads are for the most part not flooded (much to the surprise of all Karachi-ites returning to Lahore for the beginning of the LUMS Quarter).

Update: 10 hours later, it's still raining and now everything IS flooded. It should be illegal to own a Hilux in this weather. For all the poor people stranded on the single lane on the higher part of the road, I would like to announce that YES, *I* WAS THE ASSHOLE who drove past all of you in 3 ft water doing 60 km/h spraying enough water all over the place, and causing more than one Alto/Khyber to sink. While everyone was delicately moving forward at a snails pace in single file, I was roaring through all of Defence and most of Cantt. Being the Good Boy (tm) that I am, I avoided most motorcyclists and all pedestrians (I strongly believe if I hadn't been careful I would have caused the complete washout of every single motorcyclist I came across). Ah yes, The Power. Why would anyone want a car other than this Hilux, I'll never know. Betchya never saw a Lambo do THAT :)
