Nature

If only my Friday the 13ths were unlucky.

Hmm, that statement has multiple interpretations, doesn't it? This is going to be an uncharacteristic serious post.

Why do people assume mankind to be "not natural", or not part of nature. I guess you can define the word any way you want to, but the commonly accepted belief is that mankind is destroying nature, and we have to take matters into our own hands since nature can't handle the havoc we're creating here on Earth. Has anyone ever stopped to think that maybe since we came from "nature", maybe it has mechanisms to deal with (comparatively) complex and notoriously self-destructive organisms like humans? You could argue that if that is true, the way it'll probably do it is by wiping us out. Nature would then go on existing, quite happily I might add, without humans. Then again maybe nature really is designed to be "benevolent" (as far as appearances go, but then, what's the difference?), so it might just let enough of mankind survive to continue existing, but not be much of a nuisance for some time (oh, a couple of thousand years maybe, until they advance and discover nukes all over again).

How can ye reject the faith in Allah.- seeing that ye were without life, and He gave you life; then will He cause you to die, and will again bring you to life; and again to Him will ye return.

It is He Who hath created for you all things that are on earth; Moreover His design comprehended the heavens, for He gave order and perfection to the seven firmaments; and of all things He hath perfect knowledge.

Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I will create a vicegerent on earth." They said: "Wilt Thou place therein one who will make mischief therein and shed blood?- whilst we do celebrate Thy praises and glorify Thy holy (name)?" He said: "I know what ye know not."
